Defense Health Board

The Defense Health Board is a Federal Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Defense that provides independent advice/recommendations on matters pertaining to:

  • DOD health care policy and program management
  • The delivery of high-quality health care services to DOD beneficiaries
  • The promotion of health, wellness, and prevention within the DOD
  • The treatment of disease and injury by the DOD
  • Health research priorities
  • Other health-related matters of special interest to the DOD

Mission

Our mission is to provide independent advice to maximize the health, safety, and effectiveness of the United States Armed Forces.

Next Meeting: June 28, 2023

The Defense Health Board will host their next meeting on June 28, 2023. In Falls Church, VA. 

To register, please email your name, rank/title, organization/company, and if you would like to attend in person or virtually to dha.ncr.dhb.mbx.defense-health-board@health.mil.  Attendance requirements and details will then be provided prior to the meeting.
