Network Spotlight: The Center for the Intrepid
The Center for the Intrepid is a four-story, 65,000-square-foot, circular building where doctors, therapists, technicians, and specialists provide advanced rehabilitative care to service members recovering from amputations and other catastrophic injuries. The $55 million, publicly-funded center, opened adjacent to Brooke Army Medical Center on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Jan. 29, 2007. CFI offers a vast array of services to include military performance lab, occupational therapy, physical therapy, prosthetics, case management and behavioral medicine.
