A new TRICARE contract will start on Jan. 1, 2025. The changes will improve the delivery, quality, and cost of TRICARE health care services for beneficiaries who live in the United States. This includes:
- Greater provider network flexibility
- Improved beneficiary choice
- Enhanced telehealth appointments
In addition, the following states are moving from the East Region to the West Region:
- Arkansas
- Illinois
- Louisiana
- Oklahoma
- Texas
- Wisconsin
TRICARE beneficiaries who live overseas aren't affected by this change.
