Total Force Fitness

The Total Force Fitness concept focuses on a Service Member’s entire health throughout their career, connecting eight dimensions of fitness to optimize health, performance and readiness holistically.

Enhancing just one dimension, or even two or three, like physical fitness, preventive care and nutrition, misses the connections that collectively lead to wellness. All the domains play a role in optimal health and performance. Some individuals may need to focus more attention on strengthening one area. For example, a Service Member in the absolute peak of physical health can still have their performance impacted by financial problems, or by feeling isolated in a new duty station.
