These management responsibilities include any and all of the activities for the conceptualization, initiation, design, development, test, contracting, production, deployment, integrated product support, modification, and disposal of systems (information technology, medical devices, etc.), supplies, and services (including construction) to satisfy DHA or DoD needs, intended for use in, or in support of military missions. In addition, the AD-M is responsible for training of the Defense Acquisition Workforce and activities in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process for a directed, funded effort that provides a new, improved, or continuing capability (systems, service) in response to an approved need.
