Informatics

The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) Informatics team manages and sustains multiple enterprise applications for the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) community and other clinical communities including:

  • DOD TBI Patient Registry: The DOD TBI Patient Registry is one of the six complex registries within the MHS Information Platform (MIP). It includes all clinical data for all active duty service members who have been diagnosed with a TBI.
  • TBI Portal: The TBI Portal is a Defense Health Agency (DHA) enterprise application within CarePoint that functions as a clinical interface to the TBI patient registry. The portal provides a consolidated view of TBI patient data that informs clinical decision making across the Military Health System (MHS). Clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders can use the portal and its dashboards and reports in support of patient-centered care.
  • TBI Dashboards: The TBI Dashboards are a suite of enterprise metrics and interactive dashboards designed to provide a single analytical framework to help TBI organizations understand organizational trends, quantitative measures, and organizational indicators. Through embedded dashboards and analytics tools, the TBI Dashboards support clinical operations and administrators of TBI clinics with understanding the patient demographics, referral patterns, encounter trends, patient health outcomes, measuring and forecasting the incidence of TBI across, and many other metrics.
  • TBI Resources Center: The TBI Resource Center is a repository of documents that can be utilized by the TBI care communities and research organizations. The resource center contains standardized forms, data collection processes, common data elements, and resources to share best practices in TBI care.
  • Clinical Assessment Management Portal (CAMP): The CAMP provides an enterprise solution to improve point-of-care decision making and enhance patient-centered care through the collection and management of clinical assessments and patient questionnaires.
