The Joint Medical Planning Tool (JMPT) Course is a five-day, CLASSROOM-ONLY course that provides hands-on training on the JMPT, as well as the Medical Planners' Toolkit (MPTk). Through a series of exercises that utilizes the crawl, walk, run methodology, students will utilize the JMPT and MPTk to develop a model that demonstrates the flow of patients from the point of injury through definitive care, implementing planning and logistics strategies for operational missions.
Pre-Requisite Courses
Students must either be nominated to attend the Joint Medical Operations Course (JMOC) - Basic in conjunction with JMPT or have previously attended JMOC - Basic.
Please Note: Previous attendance to a JMOC - Basic equivalent course (JMPC or JOMMC) will no longer be accepted as a course alternative to JMOC - Basic.
All COCOM and Service Component planners are exempt from the JMOC - Basic course completion requirement. This exemption does not extend to sub-components, such as numbered fleets, numbered Armies, numbered Air Forces, and numbered MEFs.
Applying for a Course
AIR FORCE: Air Force personnel must contact their Unit Medical Readiness Office (MRO). The Unit MRO forwards their candidates to their respective MAJCOM/NAF MRO, and the MAJCOM/NAF MRO forwards their list of nominees directly to AFMSA/SG3XT. Air Force nominations sent directly to DMRTI will be forwarded to AFMSA/SG3XT.
ARMY RESERVE and NATIONAL GUARD Officers: Submit a Nomination Request Form to MAJ Pierzina by the nomination due date listed below.
ARMY ENLISTED (All Components): Submit a curriculum vitae (CV) and a biography to SGM Jose Raymundo by the nomination due date listed below.
ARMY ACTIVE AMEDD Officers: Submit a Nomination Request Form to the USARMY Ft Knox HRC Mailbox before the nomination deadline listed below.
COAST GUARD: Submit a Nomination Request Form to Mrs. Renee Kirkland before the nomination deadline listed on the DMRTI website. Coast Guard nominations sent directly to DMRTI will be forwarded to Mrs. Renee Kirkland.
COCOM: Personnel assigned directly to a COCOM must submit a Nomination Request Form to the DHA LNO Program Manager, Ms. Sara Huntsman, before the deadline listed below.
DHA and INTERAGENCY: Submit a Nomination Request Form to DMRTI by the nomination due date listed below.
NAVY: Submit a Nomination Request Form to CDR Bobbie Turner before the nomination deadline listed below.
