Medical Student Rotation Information

Thank you for your interest in David Grant Medical Center’s Medical Student Program. We believe we offer a very robust program and we work hard to ensure you receive every opportunity necessary to prepare yourselves for a difficult yet rewarding career!

Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences students on core clerkships and interviewing/sub-internship rotations for Health Professions Scholarship programs are the only students we accept at this time due to educational space limitations.

Medical Student Rotation Scheduling Instructions

1. All rotations must be requested through the Student Coordinator via email at dha.travis.travis-60th-mdg.mbx.dgmc-gme@health.mil. Please contact the Medical Student Program by phone at 707-423-7950. Do not contact the departments directly as this may result in over-scheduling causing unexpected cancellations.
2. Medical Students will receive a confirmation letter via email once the rotation is scheduled. Please read the confirmation letter carefully and immediately submit requested information. If requested information is not received within two months of start date your rotation will be cancelled.
3. HPSP Medical Students requesting a non-ADT rotation must have a Training Agreement in place between DGMC and the student's medical school (this takes from two to six months).
   The Student Coordinator will provide contact information when a request is received.
4. Rotations at DGMC are very competitive! Rotation requests should be submitted on the earliest allowable date. When Medical Student limit is reached per specialty, the Student Coordinator will work with the medical students to secure an alternate date, sub-specialty rotation, or rotation in alternate specialty to ensure the Medical Student is on-site for a face-to-face interview.
