Program Description:

The Department of Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics serves as a major provider of tertiary surgical care for military beneficiaries throughout Hampton Roads and the entire Mid-Atlantic States, as well as Navy operational units of the Atlantic forces and overseas. In addition, we are a major clinical rotation site for medical students from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Eastern Virginia Medical School, Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program students throughout the country.

The Department of Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics consists of 20 full-time faculty physicians representing Gynecology and Obstetrics and all surgical subspecialties within the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.
