Continuing Education Credits

The Immunization Healthcare Branch (IHB) has coordinated Continuing Education (CE) credits for a variety of training courses.

The courses currently offering CE credits include:

Standards for Quality Immunization Practice Course (SQIPC)

We have partnered with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Program to offer CNE credits for completion of our Standards for Quality Immunization Practice Course (SQIPC). The credits are available after completing the entire 8-hour course and course evaluation. Per the Tri-Service Agreement from the Council on Federal Nursing Service Continuing Education, effective 1 September 2007, nurses of all three military branches may now receive contact hour credits when attending a presentation by another service.

We have also partnered with the U.S. Army EMS Programs Management Division, Navy Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program, and Air Education and Training Command to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for EMTs after completion of the SQIPC.

Continuing Education for Nurses

The U.S. Army Nurse Corps is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation to provide continuing education for registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.

Disclosure of Faculty/Committee Member Relationships

It is the policy of the ANC-CNE/CPET that all CNE planning committee/faculty/authors disclose relationships with commercial entities upon invitation of participation. Disclosure documents are reviewed for potential conflicts of interest and, if identified, they are resolved prior to confirmation of participation.

Continuing Education for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)

The U.S. Army EMS Programs Management Division, Navy Emergency Medical Technician Program, and Air Education and Training Command are accredited to approve EMT CEUs.

It is the required that all CE planning committee/faculty/authors disclose relationships with commercial entities upon invitation of participation. Disclosure documents are reviewed for potential conflicts of interest and, if identified, they are resolved prior to confirmation of participation.

Immunization Program Leaders Course (IPLC)

We have partnered with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps Continuing Nursing Education Program to offer CNE credits for completion of our Immunization Program Leaders Course (IPLC). The credits are available after completing the entire 2-day course and course evaluation. Continuing Education for Physicians

The U.S. Army Medical Command is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The U.S. Army Medical Command designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Policy on Disclosure

As a sponsor accredited by the ACCME, it is the policy of the U.S. Army Medical Command to require the disclosure of the existence of any relevant financial interest or any other relationship a faculty member or a spouse has with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) discussed in an educational presentation. Detailed disclosure will be made in the course syllabus/course handouts.
