Vaccine Eligibility

Banner for subpage: COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments for Eligible Adults

All Adults in the U.S. Eligible to Make a COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) developed this digital toolkit to help you communicate with beneficiaries about eligibility for the COVID-19 Vaccine at DOD Vaccination Sites.

As of April 19, all Department of Defense (DOD) beneficiaries can make an appointment, as available, to get the COVID-19 vaccine at DOD vaccination sites.

TRICARE beneficiaries are eligible and authorized to get a vaccine at any DOD vaccination site.

Beneficiaries can get a COVID-19 vaccine at any military hospital, clinic, or DOD vaccination site that offers the vaccine, even if it’s not where they normally get care.

  • The number of open appointments will vary by vaccination site. This is because sites are getting different amounts of vaccine doses.
  • Beneficiaries should visit the TRICARE DOD COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments page to see what appointment tools their local military hospital or clinic is using.

Beneficiaries in a priority tier who haven't gotten their vaccine yet should make their appointment now. They can also go to a walk-in site to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

The materials in this toolkit will accomplish the following:

  • Increase beneficiary awareness that COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available and are easy to schedule at their any military hospital, clinic, or DOD vaccination site that offers the vaccine, even if it’s not where they normally get care.

Please use the materials below as appropriate, as they apply to your facility.
