The DoD and FDA are part of an interagency partnership facilitating warfighter access to safe and effective medical products and improving overall battlefield trauma response.

Over the past two years of enhanced collaboration between the DoD and FDA, the two organizations have achieved a number of successes to advance warfighter readiness. "These successes are already yielding dividends in building a better prepared, better protected, and better cared for force, equipping the U.S. warfighter with the best possible military medical support, maintaining the highest battlefield survival rate in history and enabling the Department's work to achieve a safer, more secure world," said McCaffery.
