The Summer Institute is a five-day course held in June for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology who anticipate applying for a military internship in fall of 2020 or later. This intensive program will strengthen trainees' backgrounds in military behavioral health as they gain firsthand knowledge of military culture, the work of military psychologists, and evidence-based strategies to treat military members. The Army, Navy, and Air Force Postgraduate Dental Schools form USU's Postgraduate Dental College. Under the leadership of the deans, department chairs, and program directors, instruction in Master of Science in Oral Biology degree granting residencies is provided at seven locations, in 19 programs, comprising seven differenct disciplines of dentistry. While each location is unique, they all combine education, research, and dynamic residency opportunities to cultivate excellent clinicains ready to serve a mobile force-at home and abroad, in war and peace. The Air Force Postgraduate Dental School also includes ten Advanced Education in General Dentistry, 1-year certificate programs.

Molecules to Military Medicine forms a tighter link between the basic and clinical sciences while still maintaining its military blueprint throughout all four years. Students also begin clerkships sooner under the new curriculum, and this exposure strengthens medical knowledge through experience in the hospital setting.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Privacy Act training is required of all Defense Health Agency (DHA) civilian, military, and contractor personnel. The mandatory HIPAA and Privacy Act training course must be completed within 30 days of on-boarding and annually, thereafter. The course is accessible via Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).
