About this SiteThrough the Health Care Survey of DoD Beneficiaries, the Department of Defense asks its beneficiaries to report on the quality of their experience with the military health system (MHS). This site presents scores calculated from responses of beneficiaries who say they get most of their care from a TRICARE health plan. Scores are presented in five categories:
NEW IN THIS REPORT!In this year's report, scores combine results from surveys fielded in three quarters of FY 2013 into a single score which describes a period from October 2011 to March 2013. The survey for quarter four of FY 2013 was canceled as a result of sequestration. This report contains only 110 MTFs due to fewer responses. Previous reports had scores for approximately 125 MTFs. Moreover, the FY 2014 report will combine results from surveys fielded in only three quarters. The site is setup so that you can see scores for each enrollment and beneficiary group, for CONUS MHS (the MHS in the United States), for each region, and for each MTF catchment area. Current scores combine results for all surveys administered in FY 2013. Scores are compared to nationally recognized standards or benchmarks. Although benchmark data is typically updated annually, this year new CAHPS benchmark data was not available for the report.
