  • Advanced Burn Life Support (Resident, Exportable)
    1-day course sponsored by the American Burn Association that focuses on the assessment and the management of burn patients during the first 24 hours post injury.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (Resident, Exportable)
    2½-day course sponsored by the American College of Surgeons© that prepares physicians to identify and respond to life-threatening traumatic injuries.
  • Combat Casualty Care Course (C4) (Resident)
    Basic 8-day continuing medical education program designed to enhance the operational medical readiness and pre-deployment trauma training skills of tri-service, medical officers.
  • Emergency War Surgery Course (Resident)
    Establishes combat trauma training competencies and coordinates training to develop and sustain DoD trauma surgeons whether located in an operational environment, military MTF or at a Level I trauma treatment facility.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (Resident, Exportable)
    2 - 2 ½-day course sponsored by the American College of Surgeons and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. The PHTLS course increases participant's pre-hospital trauma management skills.
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course (Resident, Exportable)
    2-day course conducted by NAEMT. TC3 provides skills to assess and manage a combat casualty from point of injury to a higher level of care. The target audience is deploying medical personnel assigned to line units. The course offers 16 CEUs.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (Resident, Exportable)
    2½-day course sponsored by Emergency Nurses Association. The course enhances the nurse's ability to assess, rapidly and accurately, the patient’s responses to trauma.
  • Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) Course (Resident, Exportable)

  • Incident Command System (ICS) Courses (Resident, Exportable)
    Several of the courses needed for individuals to become NIMS compliant.
  • Federal Coordinating Center & Primary Receiving Area (FCC/PRA) Course (Resident)
    Provides an orientation to PRA/FCC program management and patient reception operations. This course is on patient reception operations conducted under the VA-DoD Contingency Plan and under the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS).
