VA Healthcare Benefits

The VA provides five years of comprehensive cost-free healthcare, which includes audiology care, for Veterans who served in theater or combat operations after November 11, 1998. Under the “Combat Veteran” authority, the VA provides healthcare services for any conditions possibly related to service in the theater of operations.

The five-year enrollment period begins on the discharge or separation date of the service member from active-duty military service, or in the case of multiple call-ups, the most-recent discharge date.
