I feel incredibly blessed to be a mom – it was a long road to get here – and military medicine played a large role in that. Being a military mom means a constant balancing of priorities, making the most of each moment, modeling the power of service, and of not just telling – but showing – my daughters that the world is full of possibility. Kalili said she is very proud of her son for continuing the legacy of military service to our country. “When Israel picked this path, he was like ‘look Mom, I know I can do it’ and I am very proud that I have a son who will take that hard path because not many will.”
