I am a military mom. I’ve been in the Air Force for 26 years and am currently work at DHHQ. I have a 3-year-old and a 9-month-old. I feel incredibly blessed to be a mom – it was a long road to get here – and military medicine played a large role in that. Being a military mom means a constant balancing of priorities, making the most of each moment, modeling the power of service, and of not just telling – but showing – my daughters that the world is full of possibility. U.S. Air Force Col. Leigh Johnson, Chief, Mental Health Integrated Operational Support, Air Force Medical Readiness Agency, Office of the Air Force Surgeon General.
