Addressing MHS GENESIS, Dr Lein stated, “we did a great job of fielding MHS GENESIS and we have the largest and the most robust electronic heath record system anywhere in the U.S. Now we have to start optimizing and standardizing MHS GENESIS because the capability is phenomenal.”

U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Troy Brown, Command Senior Enlisted Leader to the Defense Health Agency Assistant Director for Support, led a panel of senior enlisted leaders from across the Military Health System during the 2024 AMSUS meeting on Feb. 15 in National Harbor, Maryland. On the panel were U.S. Army Command Sgt. Major Timothy Sprunger, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Army Surgeon General; U.S. Navy Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Joe Espinosa; U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Dawn Kolcysnski, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Air and Space Force Surgeon General; and U.S. Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. Tanya Johnson, DHA Senior Enlisted Leader. The panel of senior medical NCO’s explained the importance of the enlisted corps and the role of senior NCO’s, highlighting the experience and expertise they all bring to the medical community and the positive impact they have on the daily health care delivery mission.
