Date of Publication:

4/9/2013

The Veterans Affairs (VA) liaison for health care (registered nurses or social workers) facilitates the transfer of ill or injured active duty, National Guard or Reserve Service members from the military treatment facilities (MTFs) to a VA health care facility closest to their home or most appropriate for the specialized services their medical condition requires.
