Definition:

A health care professional who, in accordance with the regulations of a military department or the DHA, is granted clinical practice privileges to provide health care services in a military hospital or clinic, in accordance with DHA Procedures Manual 6025.13. Privileged providers include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and certain other medical professionals with credentials that allow independent diagnosis or treatment of specific medical conditions.
