As among civilians, weight problems appear to be increasing among MHS beneficiaries. Excess weight is implicated in many diseases and chronic conditions, including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and arthritis.

Capstone Depleted Uranium Aerosols

This report, which documents the Capstone study, is the sourcebook of data from which reasonable and appropriate data could be selected for assessing exposure and characterizing human health risks to personnel who were exposed to aerosols during the Gulf War/ODS or potentially could be exposed to aerosols in future military activities.

A comprehensive clinical evaluation of 20000 Persian Gulf War veterans

In response to the health concerns of Gulf War veterans, the Department of Defense instituted the Comprehensive Clinical Evaluation Program (CCEP). Although not designed as a research study, the CCEP provided valuable clinical data. An analysis was conducted of CCEP findings from systematic and comprehensive examinations of 20,000 U.S. Gulf War veterans.
