PHEM is a five-day course that provides Public Health Emergency Officers (PHEOs) and military treatment facility (MTF) Emergency Managers (MEMs) with the knowledge and skills to respond to public health emergencies and assist civilian and host nation authorities.

PHEMC Sustainment is a three-day course designed to refresh skills and concepts for previously trained Public Health Emergency Officers (PHEOs) and MTF Emergency Managers (MEMs) with the knowledge and skills they need to ensure that the DOD is ready to respond to public health emergencies and assist civilian and host nation authorities when called upon.
