Ultrasound Technologist

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Clinical Training Program provides students the technical skills and knowledge required to achieve entry-level competencies and perform the duties of a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at fixed medical treatment facilities and field environments.

The program provides education and training in the major disciplines of:

Ultrasound physics
Sonography of the abdomen
Small parts sonography
Basic vascular sonography
Sonography of the pelvis
Obstetrical sonography

Instruction may include computer- based or blended learning options and consists of:

Lectures
Group activities
Demonstrations
Hands-on instruction
Clinical practice
Practical exercises
Computerized and written examinations
