Ophthalmic Technician

The Ophthalmic Technician Clinical Training Program specializes in ocular health and vision care under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. Our program offers practical training in various tasks related to ocular screening, diagnosis and treatment, including the use of optical devices and surgical procedures.

Our program also covers:

  • Patient education and interaction
  • Basic clinical administration
  • Care of instruments and equipment
  • Eyewear ordering, dispensing, fitting and adjustment
  • Trauma management
  • Triage between ocular pathology, pharmacology, and operating room protocols
