The Department of War reissues policy to fortify the continuity of mental healthcare for service members during changes in their military career, such as transfer and separation. Through partnerships with the Department of Veterans Affairs and mental health assessment requirements, the policy facilitates meeting the mental health needs of warfighters in any phase of their military journey.
