U.S. Army Col. Charles Douglas, deputy commanding officer for Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, engages with staff during a Joint Commission readiness exercise at LRMC. The review gave leaders and frontline teams an opportunity to walk through patient care processes, examine how information moves across departments and identify areas where communication, consistency and coordination can be strengthened. By finding and addressing gaps before they reach the patient, LRMC is using the accreditation process as a tool for continuous improvement and a way to reinforce safe, reliable care across the medical center.
