Hospital Corpsman Third Class David A. Cedergren died accidentally from possible elec­trocution on September 11, 2004, near Iskandariyah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Forces, Atlantic, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. David was laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
