Spc. Morganne M. McBeth, of Fredericksburg, Va., died July 2, 2010, in Al Asad, Iraq, of wounds sustained the day prior in a non-combat related incident. The 19-year-old combat medic was described by her superiors as “spunky” and “selfless,” always looking after her fellow paratroopers with keen diligence and respect.
