If you're having issues navigating the Health.mil website or can't access or download resources, the tips and tools on this page will help improve your experience.

Clearing Your Browser Cache

Internet browsers will cache (or save) parts of webpages you visit, such as images or forms, to help them load faster and make your browsing experience better. This is a positive feature, but it can sometimes cause issues when a website is updated. The cached parts saved in your browser can conflict with the updated parts on the page you’re visiting, causing the page to not look or function correctly. You can fix these issues by clearing your browser’s cached data.

Follow the instructions below to clear the cache for the specific browser you’re using.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click the vertical ellipse (Customize and control Google Chrome).
  3. In the drop-down go to “More tools” and from the pop-out click “Clear browsing data…”.
  4. In the “Clear browsing data” pop-up select “All time” in the “Time range”.
  5. Check the boxes next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".
  6. Click the “Clear data” button.
  1. On your computer, open Edge.
  2. At the top right, click the ellipse (Settings and more).
  3. Click “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  4. On the left side, click “Privacy, search, and services”.
  5. Under the “Clear browsing data” section go to “Clear browsing data now” and click on “Choose what to clear”.
  6. In the “Clear Browsing data” pop-up check the boxes next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”.
  7. Click the “Clear now” button.
  1. On your computer, open Firefox.
  2. At the top right, click the hamburger menu (Open application menu).
  3. Click “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  4. On the left side, click “Privacy & Security”.
  5. Under the “Cookies and Site Data” click on “Clear Data…” button.
  6. In the “Clear Data” pop-up check the boxes next to “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content”.
  7. Click the “Clear” button.
  8. In the “Clear all cookies and site data” pop-up, click the “Clear Now” button.
  1. On your computer, open Safari.
  2. At the top click on “Safari” in the menu.
  3. Click “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Go to the “Privacy” tab.
  5. Click on “Manage Website Data…”.
  6. Click on “Remove All”.
