Pharmacy Beneficiary Knowledge Gap Campaign

In collaboration with the Pharmacy Operations Division and TRICARE pharmacy contractor Express Scripts, we're providing a series of mini-campaigns to fill key beneficiary knowledge gaps identified in regards to the TRICARE pharmacy benefit. Beneficiary knowledge gaps are identified based on trends in beneficiary inquiries using TRICARE Customer Service Assistant Reporting Tool (ART) reports, in conjunction with website analytics reports evaluating visitor use of pharmacy-related search terms.

Topics Covered in the Campaign

Expand the topics below for an overview and link to the toolkit resources for each topic:
  • The TRICARE Formulary Search Tool helps beneficiaries learn about their prescription, including where they can fill it, and how much they might pay.
  • The tool is available on the Express Scripts website at www.esrx.com/tform.
  • Additional information that can be found using the search tool includes formulary status of a prescription, coverage details and/or limitations, prescription information, and other drug options.

  • TRICARE Home Delivery is a more affordable way to fill prescriptions and can get up to a 90-day supply.

  • To switch to TRICARE Home Delivery, beneficiaries can ask their health care providers to share their prescription with Express Scripts. Beneficiaries can also visit Express Scripts online at www.militaryrx.express-scripts.com/home-delivery, or call the Member Choice Center at 1-877-363-1433.
