It is not necessary to notify the TRRP. A drug deemed obsolete does not necessarily mean that the drug is expired, it means an NDC is discontinued, no longer marketed, no longer produced, no longer distributed, or otherwise made unavailable to the marketplace. It is normal for NDCs to be dispensed after the obsolete date, as pharmacies may still have stock on the shelf after that date. If DHA provides utilization data for program eligible covered drugs, a refund is owed.
