Lead DHA R&E’s research strategy, driving scientific direction and research initiatives towards alignment with validated needs and ensuring transition of R&E S&T capability to support Joint Force operational medicine, warfighter readiness and the Military Health System.

Strategic Vision Research & Planning
Define and lead a long-term scientific and medical research strategy for the DHA R&E, integrating it with key stakeholders and aligning to requirements and capability development for successful transition of research outputs.

Scientific Contribution & Evaluation
Evaluate emerging trends in medical research and incorporate into strategy and plans. Mentor scientific talent and provide opportunities for scientists to engage in broadening assignments.

Advisory and Division Support
Provide expert scientific advice and strategic leadership to DHA senior leaders, overseeing program reviews, setting evaluation metrics, collaborating on planning/program/budgeting, and leading advisory groups to ensure impactful medical research investments.
