The Ninth Edition of the Immunization Tool Kit is now available for health care personnel within the Department of Defense. The ITK is a comprehensive resource booklet based on military immunization policy, national recommendations, evidenced-based, peer-reviewed published medical literature, and clinical practice guidelines. Seasonal Influenza Resource Center 2023-24

The Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Training (JKO Course Number DHA-US069) has been updated for the current influenza season. It is designed to meet seasonal influenza vaccination training requirement for medical personnel administering influenza vaccinations.

Note: If you previously took influenza vaccination training through the CDC’s You Call The Shots, that meets this requirement and there is no need to retake training in JKO. Those who previously enrolled in the JKO training but did not complete it will be automatically re-enrolled in the current module released on 21 Sept 2023.

Important Announcement

The Defense Health Agency Immunization Healthcare Division offers two recurring in-person and virtual training opportunities: the two-day Immunization Lifelong Learners Course and the one-day Immunization Lifelong Learners Short Course. Individual courses will be announced here when they are opened for registration. These courses are designed to ensure health care personnel are trained in vaccine policy, vaccine safety, and effectiveness based on national and DOD guidelines.

Continuing education will be available for these activities. See our Immunization Lifelong Learners Course or Short Course pages for more details and for listings of each course.
