Dental Laboratory Technician Maxillofacial

The Navy Dental Assistant Clinical Training Program trains students in the technical skills and knowledge required to achieve entry-level competencies and perform duties at fixed and deployable medical facilities.

Students learn:

  • Oral anatomy
  • Dental administration
  • Emergency treatment
  • Basic dental procedures

The program includes infection control, chairside assisting, and radiology in simulated and clinical environments. Students prepare dental materials, maintain equipment, and provide oral-hygiene instruction. Laboratory practice and clinical rotations at dental treatment facilities provide hands-on experience in chairside dentistry.

  • Cnfection control
  • Central sterilization room CSR fundamentals
  • Team strategies and tools to enhance performance
  • Patient Safety Team STEPPS
