The DOD provides amputation and limb trauma services of all types across our health care facilities. If you're a patient, provider, or someone else who's interested in referring a patient or asking questions about our amputation and prosthetic services or limb trauma in general, this webpage is your resource.
If you're a provider, you'll be able set up a Virtual Amputations and Prosthetics Board to discuss a case. You'll also be able to establish regular Virtual Amputations and Prosthetics Boards between your institution and the DOD providers in our limb trauma community.
For patient referrals, we'll be a clearinghouse to “match” your request and needs with your closest DOD medical facility that offers the capabilities you need.

The Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence continues to facilitate the most advanced care for amputation in the United States. The establishment of three DOD Advanced Rehabilitation Centers allows for eligible DOD and Department of Veterans Affairs beneficiaries to receive state-of-the-art treatment and care.
