Speech Language Pathology

Speech-language Pathologists (SLPs) provide services for the Intensive Outpatient Program and the TBI Outpatient Program. Our SLPs provide cognitive-linguistic evaluations and treatment for military beneficiaries with cognitive concerns (i.e. memory, attention, executive function, word finding, verbal formulation, auditory comprehension, reading, and writing).

SLPs deliver individualized and strategic intervention in both one on one and group settings. The NICoE SLPs help run outpatient programs such as:

  • Thinking Out Loud group for real world strategies to improve function
  • Reading for Educational and Academic EnDeavors group for comprehension and processing of written information
  • The Brain Fitness Center for neuroplasticity-based computer exercises
